Community Engagement Specialist
Areebah Mubin serves as a Community Engagement Specialist at the Black Men’s Health Clinic® (BMHC) with a focus on strategic communications, community health education, and equity-centered research initiatives. In her role, she contributes to the development of public health campaigns, culturally responsive messaging, and community engagement strategies through various media platforms that expand BMHC’s reach and strengthen its impact across Central Texas. Her work centers on ensuring that health information is accessible to the communities BMHC serves.
Areebah has played an integral role in advancing BMHC’s community-based research efforts, including contributions to the Manor Health Project in collaboration with Austin Community College and Harvard Health Law. Through this initiative, she supported the promotion and collection of localized health data and community narratives into actionable insights that inform regional health planning and policy discussions. Her contributions reflect BMHC’s commitment not only to direct service provision but also to systems-level advocacy and structural change.
With a strong academic foundation in psychology and health-focused research, Areebah brings expertise in trauma-informed care, mental health equity, and community-driven health innovation. She is particularly passionate about addressing disparities that affect underserved and marginalized populations, and she works to translate complex research and policy information into clear, culturally grounded communication that builds trust and promotes wellness.
Driven by a deep commitment to health equity and social impact, Areebah approaches her work with professionalism, collaboration, and an unwavering belief that accessible care and informed communities are essential to lasting change.
