Join us for a FREE and informative Diabetes Education Class led by BMHC Care Network professionals from Austin Public Health who are passionate about helping you take control of your health. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, living with diabetes for years, or supporting a loved one, our classes provide valuable information to help you better understand and manage this condition. Benefits from the classes include:
– Diabetes Education Segment: Learn about diabetes with Austin Public Health professionals through completing a pre- and post-survey.
– Living Healthy with Diabetes Cooking Demo: Watch a live demonstration and receive take-home ingredients along with a recipe card provided by Sustainable Food Center.
– Community Connection: Connect with others on a similar journey and learn alongside people within our community to build support.
– Healthcare Assistance: Appointment Scheduling with BMHC, Social Determinants of Health Resource Support, A1C Screenings, Rapport/Trust Building, Contact Sharing provided by BMHC.
Classes are FREE and open to the public! Arrive before the class starts and receive a free blood pressure check. There is limited parking—carpooling is recommended.
