BIO of Michael Weaver 

Michael N. Weaver, Jr., a proud native of Kansas City, Missouri, by way of St. Louis, Missouri, is a trailblazer in his family. He is the first in his immediate family to graduate from a four-year university, attend a historically Black college or university (HBCU), and earn a graduate degree. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Kentucky State University, Kentucky’s preeminent HBCU, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Michael has dedicated his life and career to education, leadership, and service. With a passion for empowering others to reach their full potential, he focuses on fostering diverse and inclusive environments, mentoring future leaders, and creating pathways to education. Michael’s guiding philosophy is rooted in the belief that “until you show others the ceiling can be removed; they’ll never know how high they can fly.”

Throughout his career, Michael has excelled in various roles and titles, including university instructor, community engagement advocate, project manager, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) consultant, and philanthropic advisor. His strength lies in strategic planning and helping organizations revitalize their missions while building authentic relationships.

Michael is also an entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of DreamWeaver Motivation, a company specializing in motivational speaking, life coaching, and consulting. As a keynote speaker for over 500 programs and events—including graduations, conferences, workshops, churches, and corporate events—Michael inspires audiences to dream big and achieve their goals. His consulting work focuses on supporting nonprofits, higher education institutions, and religious organizations in areas such as increasing participation and giving among donors of color, creating authentic workplace environments, and fostering strength-based leadership and team building.

Currently, Michael serves as the Director of Philanthropy for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where he oversees individual giving across eight states. Beyond his professional roles,

Michael is a mentor, minister, husband, and father who strives daily to make a meaningful impact through service, education, and philanthropy.

Michael attributes his success to his incredible support system, including his wife, son, family, friends, mentors, the Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi, and, most importantly, God.
